PCAHU Policies & Procedures

 

 COMMITTMENT 

 

          Board of Directors / Committee Chairs 

1.  PCAHU Board position is a voluntary and unpaid position. Sitting on the board of directors is a privilege and an opportunity to serve the membership. All board members are required to pay for any benefit, service, lunch, etc. just as any other member would.

2.  Committee Chair and their committee is a voluntary and unpaid position. Sitting as a Committee Chairperson is a privilege and an opportunity to serve the membership. All committee chairs and their committee members are required to pay for any benefit, service, lunch, etc. just as any other member would.

3.  Board meetings and general meetings - each board member and committee chair (or proxy) shall attend the monthly Board meetings and General meetings.  A board member or committee chair shall not miss more than 2 consecutive meetings without approved reason, i.e., sickness, death, vacation, jury duty, family emergency.  This member may be removed tom the board through a Board vote as noted in bylaws.

Board members and committee chairs will attend local or state leadership-conference to better understand their responsibility.

4.  Board members and committee chairs shall provide a written report to the President prior to each Board meeting - this helps expedite the meeting.

Board members and committee chairs shall recognize they must spend about one day per month for their position to include board meeting, general meeting and follow up for your position.

5.  Board members and committee chairs shall give update for membership at general meetings or provide information to the President to inform membership at such meeting.

President/President-elect or Proxy (other than a state board member) shall attend the FAHU Board meeting and President Roundtable throughout the year representing PCAHU.

  


 

Reimbursements

FINANCE

Reimbursements

1.  National Convention

Should be attended by President, President Elect, and Additional Members.  Reimbursement consists of allotted budget amount equally distributed to attendees not to exceed 1/3 of total amount per person

2.  State Board Meeting

$100 will be reimbursed for any member attending State (FAHU) Board Meeting

3.  Capitol Conference

Should be attended by President, President-Elect and Legislative Chair; additional members may attend.  Reimbursement shall consist of allotted budget amount equally distributed to attendees, not to exceed $1,000 per person.

4.  Day on the Hill

Should be attended by President Elect, Legislative Chair, committee, and members. Reimbursement shall consist of allotted budget amount equally distributed to attendees, not to exceed ¼ of total budget amount per person.

5.  Symposium

Should be attended by the entire executive board. Reimbursement shall consist of allotted budget amount equally distributed to attendees, not to exceed 1/44 total budget per person.

6.  State Leadership Program

To be attended by entire Executive Board and all committee chairs or co-chair. Reimbursement shall consist of registration for attendee and $150 towards hotel and travel

 

 NOTE: Reimbursement shall not be duplicated if paid for by FAHU or NAHU for these events.
